Instant Checkmate's Law and Legal Studies Scholarship 2023

This $2,500.00 scholarship is open to students studying for a career in the legal field. All applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in pre-law, political science, criminal justice, or paralegal studies.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Applicants must be currently enrolled in or attending an accredited post-secondary institution of higher education (e.g. college or university). High school students may apply once they have been accepted and enrolled.
Applicants must be a citizen OR legal resident of the United States.
Applicants must be enrolled in a degree related to law or legal studies (see above).
HOW TO APPLY
To apply, complete either a 750-word essay, or a video essay, about why a career in Law inspires you. Then, fill out and submit our Scholarship Application Form.

Entries must be submitted by December 31st, 2023.

The winner will be announced on February 15th, 2024.

SELECTION PROCESS
Here’s how the judging process works:

1) Members of our scholarship team will read every entry.

2) Ten top entries will be chosen.

3) A second scholarship team will review the ten finalists, and choose one recipient.
